The invisible world

I recently started to experiment with some infrared photography on my rangefinder.

The human eye can only see wavelengths from about 400nm-700nm. Infrared is the light beyond 700nm. Normally, the camera will filter this light out because it creates a purple-ish kind of glare on the edges of the picture.

In this photography project, I filtered out all the visible light and only capture the infrared light.

I must say, it was very challenging to find the focus since the infrared wave is different from the visible band. But in a way, the experience reminds me of impressionism, you can only look at it from far away. When you look close everything is all out of focus.

However, I was immediately obsessed with the deep dark and the reinterpretation of the dream-like vibes from everything.

Never thought, what you can't see can be so majestic!
